Cole Land Transportation Museum 

The Cole Land Transportation Museum collects, preserves, and displays a cross section of Maine’s land transportation equipment. With this collection, it honors the thousands of Maine land transportation pioneers whose dedicated work cleared and reshaped the land, and constructed the highways and rail lines that allowed the state’s development beyond its seacoast. These vehicles are “living” proof of the courageous efforts of those men and women whose determination made it possible. The Cole Land Transportation Museum is a place where generations connect and young people are encouraged to become creative doers and builders.
